How to prune
No routine pruning. Give pole beans a firm trellis at sowing; bush types grow unsupported. Remove damaged leaves sparingly and avoid handling wet foliage to limit disease spread.
How to harvest
Pick tender pods before seeds visibly bulge, usually every 1–2 days. Hold the vine with one hand and pinch or clip the pod stem with the other; do not tug plants loose.
