New Grow Ready gardens are planted March–October 15 only when the crop, site and weather are suitable. No new planting October 16–February. Winter consultations, spring reservations and preliminary installations without plants remain available. Preliminary installations require full package payment and include priority spring planting when suitable for the selected crops. Crop-specific cutoffs may be earlier.
Compatible out-of-season collections remain visible so customers can plan ahead. They are grayed out and blocked from current installation selections until their Hampton Roads growing window returns. Each collection is a seasonal menu, not a promise that every listed plant is installed together. Grow Pros confirms exact cultivars, planting dates, spacing and protection before installation. Cool-weather layouts use pansies or violas; warm-weather layouts use marigolds or nasturtiums. Blooms can pause during freezes. Garlic is planted in fall for bulbs the following early summer, with its space reserved through spring. Lavender is an optional permanent plant in a separate dry planter or border, with summer flowers rather than winter blooms.
